D1048 "Western Lady" had just detached from a Paddington train when this shot was taken at Birmingham New St. Almost certainly the 09:05 ex-Paddington
judging by the angle of the light. The loco number displayed in the headcode dates this to 1976, and as the boiler is blowing off steam it's probably not
summer.
