08703 stands atop a lorry in Pemberton Crescent, Wednesbury, on Thursday 19th January 2017.
This was the penultimate Class 08 to leave Bescot after DB Cargo elected to sell all of their remaining
shunting locos in late 2016. 703 was bound for Wigan Springs Branch, but its removal didn't pass without
incident. On leaving the depot a burst hose caused the trailer to sit down, and it stood here for most
of the day while repairs were effected. This shot was taken mid-afternoon, with repairs underway. The
lorry eventually departed around 16:15.
