Flood St tram stop, looking from the north (town) side on Wednesday 18th March 2026. This is where the first phase of the
Dudley extension to the metro will terminate. OLE had been installed here, but only for a stretch of roughly 150 yards from
one side of the station to the other. The OLE just about covers the trailing crossover at the south end of the station, where
trams will reverse to gain the northbound line while this remains as the southern terminus. If the OLE is used wherever
it's available a southbound tram will be pan down at Great Bridge, pan up at Sedgley Road, pan down at Tipton Road, and
finally pan up at Flood St. Reverse all that for the northbound run.
