99002 heads 4L72 East Midlands Gateway - London Gateway through Bescot at 15:15 on Monday 27th July 2026. This was the first
use of a Class 99 on this circuit, and the fourth Class 99 to reach Bescot. 99006 had worked 4M01 London Gateway – East Mids Gateway
on Wednesday 8th July as a one-off test run with that week’s regular loco (66701) dead inside. And 99001+99003 had worked light
engine as 0A47 Leicester -Wembley via Bescot in the early hours of Monday 20th July as a prelude to 001 taking over the 4L47/4M47
Hams Hall - London Gateway service.
