33111 plus 4TC units 410 and 425 have just arrived at Reading on Saturday 7th July 1979. This combo had worked the 05:55 Weymouth -
New St with the loco propelling north of Reading. This pic shows the return 11:04 New St - Weymouth, which was hauled to Reading
and propelled from there. We were mighty puzzled on passing what appeared to be an S.R. EMU somewhere around Banbury as we headed
south, until the sound of a 33 a few seconds later revealed what it was. Only when the ensemble returned south were we able to properly
identify the numbers.
